[JimsJobs] Sr Organizational Change Manager position in Chicago/Deerfield, Illinois area

 

  We currently have a need with a customer in Deerfield, IL to fill a permanent (salaried) position for a senior Change Manager.  This is a strategic and very tactical role. 

CARA's client in Chicago requires a full-time, permanent Senior Organizational Change Manager to start immediately. This role will be the lead and driver of key change and transformation programs, specifically aligned with strategic and business objectives.  The role will focus specifically on the organization side of change agendas – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organization structures and business integration.  The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans that map out strategic goals and change management implications, whilst minimizing employee resistance and maximizing employee engagement. The Senior Manager will work to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved.

The Senior Manager will act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor, and provide support to front-line managers as they help their direct reports through transitions.  The Senior Manager will also support the Program Management Office in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Responsibilities

  • Define and rollout structured change management approach and methodology caused by projects and change efforts across the organization.
  • Develop change management strategies based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Support the execution of plans along-side managers and employees
  • Be an active and visible coach to leaders, managers and executives who are change sponsors.
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions
  • Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.
  • Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Work with communication, training, HR and OD specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience required serving complex client group(s).
