The Sage Group is looking for a Search Marketing Manager to work for an online start-up SaaS company in San Francisco. This individual will lead the global search marketing efforts and will be responsible for the development and execution of a best practice search marketing plan including SEM/SEO. This role will manage relationships with external vendors and lead the internal delivery team to implement strategy in all markets. In addition this role will drive the analytics to determine search marketing decisions.
Search Marketing Manager – 5627
Responsibilities Include
- Lead the global search marketing strategy.
- Manage existing and develop new keyword lists.
- Manage cross functional project teams (agency, UI designers, engineers) to implement search marketing strategy/lead generation campaigns.
- Test and learn to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Integrate insights from data analytics to inform the search marketing strategy and tactics.
- Closely monitor search marketing performance against goals set out in the strategy, and adjust as required.
- Report on performance and status of SEM and SEO programs.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring best outcome of ROI.
Skills Required:
- Experience managing search campaigns that drove prospective customers to set-up free trials of a software application (e.g., QuickBooks, Salesforce, Web-Ex, Go-to-Meeting, etc). Must share examples of the campaigns and be prepared to discuss the campaign results in detail
- 5+ years of proven experience developing effective SEM/SEO strategies
- 5+ years of experience executing SEM/SEO programs to drive increased traffic and customer acquisition
- Proven ability managing vendors with diligent daily oversight including weekly reporting on improvements/activities
- Experience with using advertising platforms to create, manage, and optimize complex online search campaigns
- Solid understanding and experience working with analytic measurement tools such as Omniture & Google Analytics
- Great presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge with HTML editing and CMS programs
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with natural ability to influence and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
