DCG Systems, Fremont, CA.

This position is responsible for supporting the system software for our ELITE product. ELITE is used for failure analysis and yield enhancement by semiconductor manufacturers using Lock-in thermography.
The current software runs on Microsoft Windows, most of the code is written in .NET (C#), with other modules in C++, Python and Delphi. Our products work with variety of hardware components, i.e. cameras, laser markers, stages and microcontrollers. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you'll encounter a very interesting mix of challenges, from image processing, video capture, serial port communication, multithreading to memory management and GUI design.

Deliverables include project management, schedule estimates, design specifications, coding, unit testing, test cases and technical documentation, to meet DCG engineering standards. As a key team member, you'll be involved in system architecture, design and development for future ELITE features, while providing engineering system support and debugs problems in existing products. Our engineering team strives to deliver the best solutions for our clients in our products.

Qualifications

Required:
• 5+ years relevant software product development experience
• Extensive knowledge with development for MS Windows with .NET
Framework or with Win32, ATL or MFC (C++)
• Proven expertise in OOP/OOD
• Proven capability to design/improve SW architecture
• Ability to design larger SW applications with multiple components
• Experience in developing SW applications controlling hardware
• Planning, Prioritization, Problem Solving, and Organizational Skills
• Fluent in English (verbal/written)
• Able to work well independently on complex tasks with limited
supervision
• Passion for SW development
• Able to operate effectively as a member of small team
• Must be able to travel internationally (Germany) up to 35% in the
first year of employment

Preferred:
• Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Experience with
COM servers
• Knowledge of design patterns. Passion to develop good UI
• Experience in developing SW frameworks
• Exposure to ATE industry
• Exposure to Delphi programming language
• Conversational German

Education
• A BSCS, or a BSEE with significant CS coursework (or the equivalent
combination of education, technical training, and work experience)
