Area Human Resources Manager- Atlanta, GA, Full-Time-Human Resources
Pep Boys is looking for an Area Human Resources Manager to join the Human Resources Team. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Area Human Resources Manager will support the Human Resources function for the Distribution Centers in the Indianapolis, New York, San Bernardino, Atlanta and Dallas markets. This position facilitates the application, delivery and administration of company and public policies relating to all phases of human resources activity. Will work closely with Associate Relations and Talent Management.
Human Resources Manager position for Pep Boys (retail) - Atlanta
The ideal candidate will live in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
- Will work with the DC management team to foster a pro-associate culture and drive change when necessary.
- Will develop key relationships in all Distribution Centers and with SSC based Distribution associates.
- Taking the lead role in staffing and succession plans.
- Assist Distribution Management in the training and development of all associates.
- Prepare and present procedural guidance for policy related to employee relations, anti-discrimination issues, equal employment opportunities, compensation and time and attendance administration, and employee benefits.
- Point of contact for all issues of sexual harassment claims, benefits, and loss prevention.
- Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience, Skills, Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Distribution/Warehouse experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interrelate effectively and professionally with all levels of associates individually and in group settings.
- Organized and demonstrates excellent time management skills.
- Detail orientated.
- Knowledge of legal regulations (local/state/federal) relating to Human Resources disciplines.
- Computer literacy skills, specifically, Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Must have 4 year degree and supervisory experience.
- Must have held generalist role with focus on employee relations.
- Multiple unit retail experience preferred.
- Regular travel (75% - 85%) is required.
