Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an experienced Market Strategy Business Analytics Consultant who can consult on a short-term, part-time basis for our technology client in San Jose, CA. The Market Strategy Business Analytics Consultant will utilize their past organizational experience to give guidance and direction on how to build and manage an emerging data analytics group in a large technology company.
Our client is seeking input on the overall organization, structure, support model and team skill set/level. The Market Strategy Business Analytics Consultant will bring experience in a similar scenario to assist in identifying potential organizational issues, as well as create and drive the development and enhancement of the client�s organizational structure and processes.
Along with organizational guidance, the Consultant will manage internal communications program initiatives for the Data Analytics team, including communications to cross-function teams on the organization's role, best practice guidelines for how/when to engage the team, as well as how to leverage the data findings to drive marketing excellence.
Specific responsibilities:
Provide organizational guidance on how to build and manage an emerging Data Analytics organization in a large technology company
Utilize expertise to provide guidance on the client's overall organization and structure, support model and team skill set/level
Assist in identifying unforeseen blind spots/potential issues and provide recommendations on development/enhancement of the client's organizational structure and processes
Assist with change management initiatives: communications to extended teams regarding the role of the data analytics team, how to use data and the importance of key information
Skills:
11-15 years of experience working within, managing and building a successful Data Analytics organization
Experience with organizational development strategy and best practices development
Prior experience working for a large company, within or in support of Marketing/services experience strongly preferred
Motivational and influential leadership skills
Grasp of organizational development (OD) change management methodologies/frameworks, change initiatives and related communications best practices/ strategies
Strong process improvement/project management background, including conducting gap analysis, defining scope of the project, identifying areas of strengths and issues, mitigating risk within the organization
Ability to influence and motivate teams
Demonstrated expertise to help client identify unforeseen issues/blind spots and provide strategic guidance
Some experience working in a quantitative analysis/data analytics capacity or knowledge of data analytics functions strongly preferred
B.A. or higher in Business Administration, Change Management, Organizational Management, Data Analytics or related field required
RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group
LOCATION: 50% onsite at client's headquarters in San Jose, CA, 50% offsite/virtual/WFH. No phone calls, please; Local SF Bay Area candidates only.
HOURS/DURATION: PT, 20 hours/week, flexible within typical business hours. This is a project based assignment starting June 16, 2014, ending October 24, 2014.
