Product Manager

Neato is searching for a highly motivated Product Manager, with a genuine passion for consumers and consumer products. You will be responsible managing the Neato XV Series of robot vacuums, the Neato accessories product portfolio, the Support Center on neatorobotics.com, robot software updates, beta programs, PR support, and all product documentation. The role will report to the Senior Director Product Management. The work environment is a small, dynamic start-up company that is shipping product in volume to consumers today.

Neato Robotics is developing technology at the forefront of robotics artificial intelligence. Our products are designed to free people from household chores and will change how we all look at housekeeping tasks. Our first line of autonomous robotic vacuums, the award winning Neato XV Series, and recently introduced Neato Botvac Series, have set new standards for intelligence, ease of use and cleaning effectiveness. The products have been available in retail and online in the U.S. since 2010, and more recently in Europe and Asia Pacific. And they are only the first few of many new products to come.

Our team consists of roboticists, mechanical, electrical and software engineering and product professionals who have launched brands that are now familiar names in consumer electronics. Our management team is seasoned in taking startups from early startup to multinational enterprises.

Neato is searching for an outstanding Product Manager. The role will report to the Sr. Director Product Management.

This Product Manager will be responsible for managing the Neato XV Series and accessories product portfolios, NeatoRobotics.com Support Center, software updates, beta programs, PR support, and product documentation for consumers and manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

� Current Product Manager for XV Series
o Channel specials, warranty and resale products, including product definition, documentation, labeling, packaging specification and implementation.
o NeatoRobotics.com and channel partner setup information, including value propositions, use cases, product features, competitive comparisons.
o Product documentation improvements and updates.
� Accessories Product Manager
o Understanding and communication of customer needs, channel requirements and competitive analysis.
o Definition of the accessory product portfolio including product and competitive positioning.
o Packaging, documentation and labeling including working with suppliers and operations to define, implement, introduce and manage accessories.
o NeatoRobotics.com and channel partner setup information, including value propositions, use cases, product features, competitive comparisons.
� Software Update Product Management - lead definition and implementation, including software update product features, web site design/content and testing of the solution, working with engineering, the web team and customer support.
� Beta Program Management � manage beta programs for software updates and new product releases, working with customer support, engineering and the web team.
� NeatoRobotics.com Support Center - lead development of the content for the Support Center Q&As working with customer support and the web team.
� Product Documentation � lead design and development of all product documentation, labeling and packaging specification for Neato products and accessories.
� Marketing and Sales Support � manage marketing, sales and PR units used for activities such as tradeshows, reviews and marketing and sales campaigns.

QUALIFICATIONS:

� Genuine passion for consumers and consumer products.
� 5 + years of prior experience in consumer product marketing/technical marketing with at least 2-3 years of demonstrated success as a worldwide consumer hardware product manager.
� 2-3 years of demonstrated success as a program manager able to successfully lead virtual teams � both cross-functional and international.
� Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
� Demonstrated ability to understand and use business strategy and objectives to drive plans and successfully execute implementation of projects.
� Demonstrated ability to take initiative, multitask, organize, set and maintain priorities.
� Cross functional thinker and executor with demonstrated experience leading end-to-end value chain elements � product marketing, engineering, operations, customer support, channel and sales - with strong customer centric values, processes and experiences.
� Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation.
� Demonstrated expertise in developing worldwide consumer user documentation and web content - solid customer facing copywriting and communications skills, as well as ability to drive implementation processes.
� Team player, with ability to work independently and collaboratively with virtual teams � including cross-functional and international teams.
� Excellent negotiation skills that create win-win strategies.
� Ability to provide basic levels of data analysis and reporting.
� Bachelor's degree in business and/or engineering.
