[KITlist] Temporary Communications Assistant (San Francisco (Presidio), CA)

RSF Social Finance (http://rsfsocialfinance.org/) is seeking a Communications Assistant for maternity leave coverage from early August 2014 through late November 2014. This is a full-time position.

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with all areas of Marketing Communications including event planning, print publications and collateral, online media, and administrative and clerical support. This position is under the supervision of the Senior Director of Organizational Culture and will work closely with RSF's Communications Assistant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
Online Media
� Publish weekly blog posts on RSF website.
� Assist with posting to and monitoring social media accounts.
� Maintain up-to-date and accurate content on RSF website, including copy, statistics, and graphics.
� Assist with production, editing, and publishing of webinars (as needed).
� Draft and publish press releases (as needed).
� Maintain RSF listings on 3rd party sites.

Publications Collateral
� Manage production schedules for quarterly newsletters including relationship with designers printers.
� Edit and proof publications, including newsletters, one-pagers, and blog posts (as needed).
� Maintain up-to-date and accurate content on RSF marketing collateral, including copy, statistics, and graphics.

Events Sponsorships
� Provide logistical and program support for RSF hosted events and conferences.
** Key duties:
--- day-of onsite logistics
--- event follow up
** Assist with:
--- event design and planning
--- invitation design and mailing
--- invite and RSVP list management

Administrative Clerical Support
� Help track and maintain inventory of print materials.
� Record and monitor notes, action items, and follow ups for Marketing and Communications team.
� Conduct basic phone intake for Marketing and Communications Team.
� Coordinate and conduct follow up correspondence and requests for information.
� Prepare and ship packets of RSF collateral materials for conferences and events.
� Copying, scanning, and mailing for Marketing and Communications (as needed).
� Other duties as assigned.


KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
� Minimum Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree required
� 1-2 years administrative/office work experience
� Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
� Ability to manage multiple projects of different scopes
� Ability to manage outside vendors (especially for design and printing)
� Ability to use WordPress or other blog software, as well as social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
� Strong proofreading and editing skills
� Event management experience preferred
� Marketing and communications experience preferred
� Work and/or volunteer experience in the nonprofit or social finance sector is desirable
