Rimini Street Inc., the leading provider of third-party support for enterprise application software, seeks a Director/Senior Director, Product Marketing and Strategy, resident to our Pleasanton or Las Vegas Offices specifically to drive the next phase of growth of its well established PeopleSoft product line business.

Position Summary
Top candidates will be well-versed and experienced in marketing service-oriented solutions, not just products. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to define, prioritize, and execute the right set of product marketing objectives to help grow demand for our industry leading services.
As the Director/Senior Director, Product Marketing and Strategy for the PeopleSoft product line business, you will partner closely with Service Delivery, Demand Generation and Corporate Marketing teams to drive messaging and positioning for Rimini Street PeopleSoft support offerings, conceive and support strategic and innovative marketing programs and enable Sales and Client Care teams with world-class tools and messaging to articulate the value of Rimini Street PeopleSoft Support Services.
In addition to executing on sales and marketing programs to meet revenue targets and client retention goals, you will also play a key role in evangelizing Rimini Street PeopleSoft support services as a thought leader by providing provocative or forward-leaning points of view to not only attract an audience but also build interactions and conversations with a tone that starts a dialogue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Director/Senior Director, Product Marketing and Strategy will focus a majority of his/her time on strategic messaging and positioning, demand generation, sales enablement and client retention marketing for PeopleSoft support services at Rimini Street.
- Messaging and Positioning: Develop messaging and positioning for PeopleSoft support services, by industry and role as applicable, to differentiate Rimini Street as THE premium PeopleSoft support provider
- Demand Generation: Partner with the Demand Generation team to devise campaign strategy and themes, create compelling content, and guide marketing programs to drive demand for Rimini Street Support Services for PeopleSoft
- Sales Enablement: Equip and train the sales team on the Rimini Street value proposition for PeopleSoft support services with world class sales tools, competitive and market intelligence to overcome critical objections and support every stage of the selling process
- Client Care and Success: Develop client retention messaging, high quality content and campaigns to support and drive retention efforts including strategic and technical roadmap engagements and PeopleSoft client success stories.
- Thought Leadership: Demonstrate clear and compelling points of view including unique approaches to solving problems with strategic insights and actionable advice for PeopleSoft clients
Additional Duties and responsibilities
- Excellent Communication and Persuasion Skills – Ability to convincingly sell ideas and plans to internal and external constituencies including executives, prospects, clients, sales team and analysts.
- Polished Executive-Level Presentation Skills – Ability to simplify and present complex information and concepts with confidence to establish rapport, credibility, and trust with an executive-level audience
- Self-Sufficiency – Ability to identify solutions and forge a strategic direction despite high degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Multi-Tasking and Agility - Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully execute projects under a heavy workload and fast-changing conditions is critical
In addition to the stated responsibilities, the Director/Senior Director, Product Marketing and Strategy is expected to be a team player willing to take on key marketing tasks and projects as required, that will contribute to Rimini Street's continued success.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Location
- Pleasanton, CA OR Las Vegas, NV Offices.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
Experience
- Minimum 10-12+ years of enterprise software experience in core product marketing roles. ERP, specifically PeopleSoft product marketing experience is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for quality work
- Strength in working with varied groups including executive management, operations, and marketing teams
- Quick learner and must be able to respond to a variety of sales and marketing inquiries with tight deadlines
- Ability to easily interact with a demanding group of sales and marketing team members, appropriately juggling requests from different individuals
- Demonstrate high level of energy/self-starter
Skills
- Experience in developing Go-To-Market strategies (solution and services definition, packaging, pricing and positioning) for leading technology, services or ERP companies is required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to represent marketing plans and strategic priorities to senior executives, sales, customers, top prospects, analysts and press
- Excellent relationship building skills - Ability to work across the entire organization with senior leaders to build consensus on product marketing priorities is a must. Must be able to develop and sustain relationships with key influencers, customers, top prospects and analysts
