Configure-Price-Quote Marketing Director

Overview
Apttus is looking for a leader to join our CPQ business to drive deep domain expertise into our rapidly expanding Account Executive team. This role requires a thoughtful approach to both sell and buy side CPQ, ability to evangelize CPQ's role in the quote-to-cash process, work with Apttus' industry experts to architect industry specific solutions, talent in messaging and communications, and supporting sales via innovative enablement methods and direct deal support.
We are looking for a proven track record in the following 3 key attributes:
1. CPQ Experience: The role requires 7+ years of field experience working with CPQ, as either an SME or selling.
2. Solution Architect. This individual needs to be well versed in CPQ business processes and systems, with the ability to architect solutions and assist the Product Marketing Manager to develop the related Go To Market collateral to enable the Sales Organization to prospect and sell quote-to-cash solutions.
3. Domain Leadership: This individual needs to be well-versed in the CPQ industry. You need to be hands-on, help set and support the sales strategy for key prospects and customers, work closely and follow the lead of the Account executive. You need to be comfortable creating compelling visions of the future, writing a point of view, creating messaging, and building thought provoking presentations that Sales can use for enablement and in customer meetings. You must have experience in writing blogs and thought pieces. You will work closely with the Product Marketing Manager, Industry experts, the quote-to-cash business team, corporate marketing, sales, pre-sales and partners.
Primary Responsibilities Include
• Working with the GM of CPQ assist in the development of the CPQ go to market business plan including target accounts, marketing strategy and programs to achieve target revenue growth
• Act as the conduit from the field as you assist in the development of messaging and positioning for CPQ customers, including positioning and solutions for existing Apttus customers and new prospects
• Take personal responsibility for supporting the growth of ACV pipeline
• Test CPQ messaging implementation across all channels (online, web, events, field sales). Continually test and refine message to ensure it is consistent with pipe generation goals and Apttus corporate-level message
• Expert domain knowledge at strategic marketing events including Dreamforce and select third party events
• Be hands-on in developing content for specific sales opportunities and field enablement
• Be an effective presenter to prospects and customer audiences as well as command the attention of C level executives, and earn their trust through expertise and relevance
• Be a thought leader in the CPQ industry and evangelize the value of Apttus for this market
• Establish effective relationships with strategic SI and ISV partners for CPQ
Required Skills/Experience
• Seven years of field sales or field/product marketing experience
• Track record of driving sales results through effective direct sales support and sales enablement
• Domain knowledge of the CPQ market
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong communication and writing skills and ability to work across business lines
• Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence
• High energy, charismatic, innovative, creative
• BS degree required
