The Manager of Internal Communications is a high energy, charismatic, innovative, creative individual responsible for developing and executing dynamic and strategic internal communications campaigns that drive employee engagement and support the SRI culture.
This position will report into the Director of Corporate and Marketing Communications and will be a key partner to the HR leaders and key stakeholders in departments across the company to develop, manage and implement communication strategies that keep employees informed about major company news and initiatives, and promote two-way dialogue.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with proven leadership abilities who is passionate about driving and shaping our internal communications strategy. This person must be a brilliant writer with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with HR and key stakeholders in departments across the company to understand upcoming initiatives and/or changes; develop integrated communications plans, then execute. Drafting key messaging, FAQs, talk tracks and other support materials.
• Provide strategic input on messaging and positioning, and influence stakeholders as needed to ensure communications are compelling and aligned with our desired tone.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and content creators across the organization and establish yourself as a trusted partner
• Track campaign results and influence the team and your business partners to apply key learning's to improve future programs.
• Be the internal voice for all announcements we make to the external world; ensure employees around the globe are in the know on what we are discussing, positioning and announcing to the media.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing and/or a related discipline;
• Proven track record developing and executing creative internal communications plans
• Highly creative writer experienced in crafting compelling messaging and narratives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact with and influence senior executives
• Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines and create clear communications
• Ability to lead, manage and execute multiple priorities
• A strategic thinker with proven ability to achieve results through teams, exerting influence without direct authority
• Dynamic, charismatic, confident personality with ability to successfully drive projects with minimal guidance
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize
• A self-starter with proven management and leadership skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally; must be a strong team player
• Proactive and results-oriented
