Position Summary



The Senior PR Manager will assume responsibility for Rimini Street's "news engine," working closely with the VP of Global Communications on strategy and development of external messages and positioning for global media. He/she is a "storyteller" and will focus on driving significant buzz about, and interest in, Rimini Street through media content and assets, staying closely aligned to the Company's overall business objectives. The Senior PR Manager will work with and collaborate with the global communications team, global PR agencies that Rimini Street has engaged, corporate marketing, product marketing and demand generation, to roll out thematically impactful, integrated global campaigns. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Global Communications.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



The selected candidate must be able to communicate strongly and effectively the Rimini Street story – a successful market disrupter with nearly 1,300 signed clients including some of the most recognized brands in the world. He/she must also be self-directed, collaborate well with colleagues, have initiative and critical thinking skills, dive into the details to get things done, and have a can do attitude, with the ability to manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously. Key responsibilities for this position include:

Cultivate and enhance working relationships with the key global media as identified in Rimini Street's Tier 1 media dashboard.

Help mine and create news stories, above and beyond the press release cycle.

Draft content and create media assets that land Rimini Street's key messages, and move the Company's market positioning forward.

Compose and edit press releases, byline articles, blogs etc. for internal and external use.

Help plan and oversee press events and activities across geographies, including the US, UK, Germany, Israel, Brazil, Australia, China and Japan.

Help develop Thought Leadership pillars for broader campaign activation and executive industry positioning.

Collaborate with the Senior AR Manager to ensure that messaging and media activity is in sync with the programs and messaging for industry analysts.

Stay on top of the competitive landscape and regularly monitor and respond to issues and opportunities.

Strategize, plan and execute public relations activity in tandem with product marketing announcements, corporate marketing activity, and demand generation.

Monitor and report effectiveness of the communications program on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis.

Work closely with Rimini Street's regional PR agencies to provide content, messaging, creative pitch ideas and corporate press releases for agency use.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

Minimal Qualifications 

Bachelor degree required; Master's or other advanced degree a plus

Pleasanton, CA

Experience

8+ years of technology B2B public relations experience. A mix of in house and agency experience preferred, working with large enterprise companies such as Oracle, SAP, Saleforce.com, etc

Skills

Highly self-motivated individual who enjoys working under limited supervision.

Tenacious problem solver with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and desire to succeed.

Creative storyteller with strong written, editing and oral communication skills.

Experience leveraging social media as part of an integrated communications program.

Proven track record of success developing and executing communication strategies that drive results.

Excellent IT and business media relations skills.

Experience in crisis communications management.

Attention to detail with an ability to meet tight timelines while maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to work with varied groups including executive management, customers, media, industry analysts, and internal teams.

Ability to multi-task and produce results in a start-up environment.

Global communications experience a plus.
