Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Senior Executive Communications consultant for one of our high tech clients located in San Jose, CA. or Washington DC. The Senior Executive Communications Consultant will develop creative, integrated communications strategies for our client's Sr. VP of Advanced Services as well as support senior leaders in the organization with complex communications deliverables.
This individual will interact with all levels of the company, developing key relationships with company executives and senior management. Spearheading visionary and dynamic communication strategies, he/she will have the ability to track high level industry and/or corporate visions, while working across multiple teams to collect content, proof points, and assets to a create a cohesive and compelling story.
Responsibilities:
Develop internal and external presentations, messaging, content and speeches for the Sr. VP of Advanced Services (e.g. presentations, abstracts, speaker notes, speeches, panel discussions, video on demand scripts, message hierarchies, internal/externally facing events, and other written materials)
Manage speaking engagement requests, logistics and executive prep - assessing, positioning and executing upon executive speaking opportunities
Manage analyst relations and overall speaking engagement calendar
Create dynamic, graphically rich Power Point presentations with compelling content for/on behalf of executive
Define and communicate corporate positioning at the executive level, ensuring that the communications strategy and messaging is aligned with the overall company vision and is linked to corporate objectives
Customize content for internal communications (all hands, EBC) as well as external strategic business communications (financial results)
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and share key content to other AS execs for their communication
Ensure a well branded and professional presence at all speaking engagements
Develop methods for supporting communication innovation across the organization
Track and report quantitative and qualitative program results
Desired skills/experience:
12+ years of proven experience in Executive, Corporate or Internal Communications. Must include experience developing and implementing communications strategies for at least one global, F500 technology company.
Must have a high degree of polish, diplomacy and discretion, displaying comfort/ease in everyday communications with senior level executives as well as cross-functionally
Solid influence/negotiation skills: must be able to partner with people at all levels of the organization and collaborate with cross functional teams across a global company
Exceptional communications skills (written, verbal and visual presentation). Must have the ability to quickly grasp corporate and technical concepts, offering guidance on "voice of the executive" development, conceptualize and create storyboards and translate ideas/metaphors into compelling and concrete content for both internal and external audiences
Must have expert level Power Point skills with a solid understanding of fundamental graphic design concepts; ability to complement Power Point with other programs for presentation or graphics development is a plus
Exceptional project management skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline and on budget. Extraordinary attention to detail is critical
Experience coaching executives on presentation and video skills a plus
Understanding of collaborative technologies and social media and how to leverage these tools to enhance and position executive brand a plus
Experience with video production, public relations and/or an understanding of events management a plus
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism
