Move is looking for a Training and Organizational Development Specialist to join the Human Resources team in our Westlake Village location. This position, reporting to the VP Human Resources, is responsible for creating and delivering developmental curriculum for Move's multi-sites and field based employees. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with a passion for development. A background in organizational development and change management is preferred. The role of the Sr. Training & OD Specialist is to identify, with management and functional leaders, how training can support and enable team members to meet their performance and competency objectives. This role then creates & provides learning and development opportunities to team members via classroom, video-conferencing or e-learning methods. This position is also responsible for helping to create a culture where employees are engaged, motivated and supported to achieve their work and growth objectives. The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years in a training and/or organizational design position doing both content preparation and delivery.

Critical deliveries will include:

Designing and implementing leadership, training and development programs and materials in sync with the organizations values and strategy. Solutions may include eLearning and consultative work in addition to classroom curriculum
Managing and maintaining orientation and onboarding programs
Acting as a consultative resource for employees and managers working to put learning into action
Designing and managing an rfp process for subject matter specific training in sales, customer service or technology groups
Implement and lead the talent management and development initiatives
Design and implement cross functional/subject matter expert leaning opportunities in the organization

Duties and Responsibilities:

Researching content, creating training programs and facilitating training sessions; this also includes the monthly New Hire Orientation and maintaining, advertising & enrolling team members in e-learning courses
Meeting with internal clients to discuss/determine need and create customized programs focused on improving team effectiveness, increasing skill sets and/or reinforcing cultural behaviors; this also includes doing quarterly reviews about which training programs are strategically aligned with the company's objectives and making adjustments as necessary
Create surveys and analyze responses for training courses, 360 feedback process, needs assessments and others as requested; take action as/where appropriate
Maintain employee engagement programs such as the Recognition Program, updated intranet pages and corporate events
Support managers by discussing specific employee issues they are experiencing and how to best address those needs; this may include performance management tasks
Vendor management (negotiating of contract terms/pricing, working with internal legal department for approval and maintaining relationship throughout contract length)

Education, Skills and Experience:

Bachelor´s degree in Human Resources Management, Business or closely related area
Five years experience in instructional design and training needs analysis
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of training and development tools & techniques
Skilled in presenting/facilitating a wide variety of training to diverse audiences. Able to motivate, communicate and instruct/train others
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Proficiency with current software packages such as Microsoft Office and PowerPoint skills are essential. Bachelor´s degree preferable.
Must be trustworthy with confidential information and matters
Able to multi-task, prioritize and self-manage workload
Comfortable making decisions & recommendations to management or internal clients about training content and delivery methods

Additional Qualifications:

Approx. 15% travel to Northern CA, Scottsdale, AZ and Vancouver, Canada locations
