In this position, the individual will be responsible for managing a wide variety of corporate financial planning and analysis activities in the administrative areas of SanDisk. In this role, the Controller will work closely with the CFO and heads of Legal, IT, HR, Facilities to optimize business decisions, plan annual and quarterly budgets, close the monthly and quarterly results and lead various financial analyses on an ad hoc basis. As one of the leaders of the SanDisk financial analysts community, the Controller coordinates the budgeting, close and various other activities across the company and leads the financial planning of expenses, HC, and capex across the company. The Controller also owns the planning systems and leads the implementation of new systems. Manage staff of 3 financial analysts providing financial support to the Corporate Services organization (Facilities, Finance, HR, IT, Legal) and other G&A functions such as Payroll Taxes & Benefits. The activities cover including: Budget/Forecast preparation, analysis, and presentation, Actual vs. Budget variance analysis and expense accruals, Management Reporting of expenses and headcount, Ad hoc research, analysis and reporting as needed for decision support and Day-to-day support for various accounting and financial matters. Manage the budgeting/forecasting system (Hyperion) including system development to meet changes in Corporate requirements. Manage staff of 1 systems analyst/database administrator maintaining the system and providing support to WW population of ~ 50 system users. Manage the WW budgeting/forecasting process for expenses, HC, and capex. Lead and coordinate the common activities of ~ 20 WW financial analysts with responsibility for expenses, HC and capex. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial results packages for Exec Staff and Audit Committee, including preparation of expense and headcount schedules. Prepare additional financial results for CFO as requested. Oversee SAP cost center master file, profit center master file, and expense chart of accounts. Oversee G&A accounting, including WW standardization and compliance. Provide ad hoc financial analysis on various topics such as "lease vs. buy" in the facilities, "in-house vs. outside resources" in the legal and IT areas, "geographical resource planning" for the HR.
This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of progressive financial and management responsibilities with recent experience in Fortune 1000 multinational company. MBA with major in finance or accounting preferred. Must have experience in corporate management and governance of business units with geographical dispersion. Experience with SAP financial and planning systems is a plus.
