Based on its proprietary laboratory automation technology, high-throughput pressure reactors and integrated LEA (Lab Execution and Analysis) software suite, the company enables step-change gains in its customer’s productivity and innovation by delivering seamlessly integrated workflows. Relying on an experienced team of engineers, software developers and scientists, our client works closely with their customers to design, develop and implement automated solutions that transform their approach to critical R&D work processes, accelerating innovation. Serving customers for more than a decade, the business has provided high-throughput solutions to a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals, energy, chemicals, and consumer products.

Opportunity

The Marketing Communication Specialist will be responsible for implementing a global marketing communication strategy that effectively manages our brand to drive the growth of the company. This is achieved through 2 core responsibilities. First, and foremost, the Marketing Communication Specialist will be responsible for working with the Product Management and Sales organization to execute on a strategy that drives our lead generation in key market segments and manages leads as they come in. Second, the Marketing Communication Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all of our communication channels result in a consistent brand message that resonates with our customers. This will include, but not be limited to, managing ad campaigns, trade show appearance, marketing collateral, website and other online communication and public relations. We are looking for a leader who can effectively manage a range of critical tasks while still maintaining high quality work. The position will report to the Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning. Up to 20% travel required.

 

Responsibilities

·        Develop a market communication strategy that maximizes the sales opportunities in key market segments.

·        Create a process for managing incoming leads including ensuring leads are properly entered into SFDC and leads are properly nurtured to maximize their conversion to sales.

·        Optimize the effectiveness of our website and online presence by measuring the effectiveness of our presence and giving guidance for adjustments to improve our effectiveness

·        Work with Product Managers to write and manage the development of marketing collateral including product brochures, industry segment brochures, and corporate brochures

·        Work with the product managers to write and develop email blast campaigns including buying lists and managing the production of email blast

·        Work with stake holders in the organization to write press releases and ensure they effectively reach visibility in the marketplace

·        Work with our Events Planner to coordinate trade shows including setting up sponsorships, and owning the look and feel of the companys brand at the shows.

 

Experience

·        Successful track record for implementing successful marketing communication strategies ideally in scientific research markets.

·        Experience in managing the brand message and value proposition for a company

·        Experience in working with Product Managers and a sophisticated sales organization to implement marketing strategies effectively

·        Demonstrated ability to take ownership of responsibilities, overcome obstacles, deliver on commitments, and delight the customer.

 

Requirements

·        2 -4 years marketing communication experience preferably in a high tech or science related company

·        5-7 years overall work experience in a functionally related area. Experience with automation is preferred.

·        A creative thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve product launches

 

Education

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred.
