1) Title: Sr Infrastructure Engineer

2) Location: Jacksonville FL

3) Duration: 12+ Months

Infrastructure Specialist

Responsibilities:

· Lead platform optimization efforts,

· Define distributed systems architecture with limited guidance

· Oversee infrastructure build-outs to perform Hardware & Middleware platform benchmarks

· Define and oversee Hardware Platform Migration initiatives

· Partner with infrastructure architecture, infrastructure operations and datacenter operation teams to scope/define, size and execute datacenter migration & consolidation initiatives.

· Identify opportunities for infrastructure sharing and virtualization.

· Validate that proper Backup & Recovery methods are applied to new and existing application infrastructure environments.

· Perform new project and current project capacity planning and forecasting.

· Gather requirements, topology information and deployment details as inputs to datacenter migration efforts and oversee datacenter migration efforts post-design.

· Create/Document physical infrastructure deployment architecture as needed to maintain up-to-date details on existing infrastructure.

Technical skills required:

· 6+ years in distributed systems infrastructure experience;

· in-depth technical skills, infrastructure design & server infrastructure implementation.

· Familiar with datacenter concepts and best practices, high-availability systems and capacity planning.

· Thorough knowledge of x86-64 & RISC based server systems

· Blade Server Technologies

· VMWare ESX

· WAN & LAN technologies

· Storage/SAN systems

· OS Security

· Experience with large Database systems
