Overview: We are seeking an AR/PR/Advertising Program Manager for a start-up group within a global high tech company. This is a 40 hour per week onsite role in the client's Santa Clara office (potentially some offsite flexibility), for a 6 month contract as a w2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions.
The AR/PR/Advertising Program Manager will be responsible for driving business and industry media press coverage, customer success and thought leadership. This will include developing and executing a comprehensive PR and AR strategy and performing the day-to-day tactics to support the strategy. This individual will also be responsible for development of core messaging documents, brochures, press releases, award and speaking submissions and media briefings and other projects and programs as required.
The AR/PR/Advertising Program Manager will be responsible for managing the global buying and tracking of media for advertising our products in market. Day-to-day management and oversight of the media performance and regular reporting of the results is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a PR strategy
• Write/edit a variety of PR documents, including press releases, messaging documents, bylined articles, media briefings, award, and speaker submissions
• Build and maintain relationships with the media, key journalists and analysts
• Work with channel managers and marketing to develop customer success stories, quotes and testimonials
• Develop PR programs for product launches and promotions
• Track editorial opportunities and reviews in key publications and pitch editors for inclusion
• Work cross-departmentally to develop customer messaging plan to boost customer loyalty and satisfaction.
• Develop presentations and collateral, and provide copywriting for website, other marketing materials and programs, and sales tools
• Track metrics and report on all media coverage, PR, AR and other activities as required
• Work with the Community manager to increase visibility of IT Operations products in search engines
• Manage submittals and promotion for product awards
Requirements
• Outstanding writing, editing, communications and presentation skills
• Minimum 5 years media relations and communications experience essential, experience in an advertising or public relations agency and/or journalism experience a plus
• Hands-on knowledge of all PR processes and services necessary for developing a PR campaign from start to finish.
• Experience working with industry analysts.
• Knowledge of business, technology and networking/systems management publications a plus, from both a PR and Advertising perspective
• Clear understanding of the fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization.
• Experience in high-growth, fast-paced (startup) software company preferred; SMB experience preferred
• Web content publishing software experience preferred (EZPublish or similar)
• Bachelor's degree required, an emphasis in communications, journalism, PR or marketing preferred
