SUMMARY
The Social Media Manager is responsible for management and execution of all content on the various company´s businesses social media sites including, but not limited to Twitter, Facebook and MySpace accounts. Familiarity with Google AdWords, Yahoo Place Pages and search engine optimization are also required. As our Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in driving value for our businesses by serving as the subject matter expert and main point of contact. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to write and edit high quality, business appropriate content. A background in interactive marketing is required and public relations experience is considered a plus. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Full ownership of social media accounts through regular interaction that drives measureable results
· Research into our partner´s and users verticals in order to find material you can turn into compelling content
· Creation/editing of compelling content for our various social media platforms using a voice that is unique to each business.
· Active participation in the online community that consistently engages the right audience.
· Proactively introduce new ideas for business initiatives
· Develop online outreach strategy
· Work with businesses to identify the most appropriate blogs
· Establish relationship with key bloggers
· Monitor social networks for potential threats or opportunities
· Leverage social networks to build affinity with either a company, product or issue position
· Leverage video sharing sites like YouTube to advance a businesses message or image
· Conduct online research to identify Web sites and online influencers for outreach
· Conduct one-to-one outreach to site editors, writers, and other influencers
· Develop and manage online strategic partnerships
QUALIFICATIONS
· Able to understand deep analytics yet communicate impact to our bottom line
· At least 2 years experience building social media communities
· Must be fluent in: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Blogging, and Forums
· Knowledge of tools such as Lithium or Radian6
· Fluent in Google Analytics is a plus, GAIQ preferred
· Strong writing and editing ability
· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to complete assignments thoroughly with little initial guidance or direction needed
· Demonstrated high attention to detail
· BA/BS degree required
