Social Media Manager
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to drive Accellion's social channels across web, mobile and all digital extensions, has a passion for social media and business, and is excited about joining a company that is gaining massive momentum.
More than 7 million people currently use Accellion solutions to share files securely. Accellion is a recognized market leader in providing enterprise secure file sharing solutions which are deployed at over 1200 corporations and government agencies, including P&G, Ogilvy, Bridgestone, SEC, NASA, Rolex, L'Oreal, and Hilton. Accellion is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management, creation, direction, and execution of Accellion's ongoing, global social media strategy. This individual must understand online marketing and how social media is interwoven into the discipline. The Social Media Manager needs to identify and manage social media opportunities and create programs to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement. This individual must be an excellent communicator, demonstrate sound judgment, strike a balance of creativity and humor, have strong cross group collaboration skills, be action oriented, and bring cultivated analytical skills. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, Communications.
Responsibilities:
• Create and execute social media activities/campaigns, set measurable objectives, and evaluate results in an ongoing basis.
• Set targets and timelines for social media programs and key initiatives while managing to the social media marketing calendar.
• Deploy social media programs and technology to create innovative and creative campaigns in support of product, brand, and marketing initiatives.
• Create, facilitate, and participate effectively and authentically in key conversations about Accellion on blogs and other online social media channels.
• Track key metrics and understand program effectiveness in terms of social media penetration and impact on acquisition, engagement, revenue, reputation, and perception.
• Manage a process workflow that ensures consistent execution and delivery of social media marketing campaigns with creative and technology teams.
• Develop business requirements documents and marketing distribution plans for social channels across web, mobile, and all digital extensions.
• Develop a set of best practices and manage recommended rules of engagement, helping to build social media capabilities across the company.
• Stay abreast of social media tools and industry trends.
Desired Skills & Experience
• 4-6 years marketing, communications or PR experience (a combo of B2B and B2C preferred).
• Proven track record of success in building and growing social media, viral and word of mouth online marketing practices.
• Excellent consulting, writing, editing, and communication skills, including an engaging written voice.
• Strong technical/web skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects, develop business relationships, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree.
