This position is responsible for providing Tier I operational support for
the Customer Service Maintenance & Technical Support, in the Local Access
Provider (LAP) environment. This position requires EXPERT KNOWLEDGE OF BMP.
The contractor is responsible for aggressively handling maintenance troubles
referred to AT&T s access supplier and addressing joint opportunities with
the suppliers to improve the interaction and interface for AT&T business
partners. Candidates with previous Verizon or AT&T leadership experience
desired for this position; to that end, the contractor is accountable for
ensuring troubles follow all external trouble resolution and escalations
processes and must perform proactive LAP work list monitoring to ensure
forward progress of tickets by Local Access Provider escalations. The
contractor must maintain ongoing communication with the customer and service
managers and proactively supply them with up to date progress reports which
include next steps and when they will occur through Smart Chat and BMP.
Additionally the contractor is accountable for performing a number of
responsibilities required for improving the customer s satisfaction, which
include, working with extended teams to ensure that appropriate actions are
taken to correct and reduce possibilities of recurring service problems.
Contractor must have a technical background, and have a basic understanding
of the network topology and have a working knowledge of the systems required
to support critical maintenance functions; as well as an understanding of
maintenance processes.
