Qualifications:
The Director of Engineering will be an exceptionally talented, innovative and "hands on" Manager who directs and executes all aspects of product design, development, and delivery. He/she must be an established and driven executive who brings credibility to our seasoned engineering team. The candidate should have strong background in data architecture, Java, Flex, and Web services. The candidate is most likely currently leading the engineering efforts of an enterprise software company or a BI/Analytics division of a larger company. The job is in our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities:
Continue to Build and manage the entire engineering Development function for the company, which includes but is not limited design, development, unit test, project management, and 3rd level support.
Delivering high quality products on time to increase SignalDemand's dominant market position.
On a continual basis, look for opportunities to increase the productivity and effective of the Engineering team including but not limited to SDLC and Agile development processes.
Be a strategic partner to the other business areas such as Product Management, Services and Sales.
Effectively manage offshore development efforts, including SignalDemand's current strategic engineering partnership in China.
Required Skill Set & Experience:
10+ years experience with a BSCS/MSCS in a senior engineering role for an enterprise software company is a must. Experience with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) and/or Predictive Analytics are strongly preferred.
Must have experience with technologies such as Oracle 9i, Informatica, Web services, Flex/J2EE, Cognos/BI are desired
Demonstrated progression through your career as both a technical and people leader
Experience with Agile or Scrum development or other software methodologies to increase overall Engineering productivity and time-to-value
Experience managing off-shore relationships
Experience managing the entire software release process with a demonstrated emphasis on process, metrics, predictability and exceeding customer expectations
Experience building configurable and scalable predictive Analytical applications
CS and/or MS education
