Job description:
Basic background knowledge in 2nd and 3rd generation wireless systems, IP networks, programming with Perl, Java, Shell scripts and knowledge with the Linux, Unix and Windows networks. Other coding skills are also a plus.
The specialized knowledge required for a qualified Test Engineer in the LTE test labs is –
• Understanding of the end to end approach towards functionality testing
• The ability to match system requirements into use cases for the end users and application of this understanding into the test methodology
• Ability to identify recurring tasks involving system level control and observation and to automate them
• Proficiency in Shell scripts, Perl, Java and/or Expect
• Proficiency in the Linux, Unix and Windows XP networking
• Knowledge of IP networking standards
• Basic understanding of the LTE technology and 4G
• Debugging skills in the space of a network telecom system.
• GUI performance testing experience is beneficial
• Experience with platform redundancy / failover testing is beneficial
• 7+ years of Test/development experience
