SDL seeks an experienced Outbound Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about bringing to market new innovative technology solutions for the global market leader in its space targeting the top Global 5000 companies as well consumers applications, creative product positioning and training a Global sales organization. The successful candidate will have strong experience in developing and managing outbound focused product marketing programs in an Internet company and/or enterprise solution provider, strong writing and presentation skills, must thrive working cross-functionally and have excellent problem solving skills. This is a full-time position based in our Los Angeles, CA.
SDL (LSE:SDL), the leader in Global Information Management solutions to the world's leading brands , is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for our Language Technologies Division. This person will be responsible for creating sales collateral and executing training programs to support the company's growing global sales team, and to help extend the recognition of our products value propositions and messaging across our SDL's divisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner effectively with internal Product Management and Marketing teams to ensure world-class product marketing communications for all of SDL products
• Work closely with global and cross-functional counterpoints to ensure cohesion and scalability for unified product messaging, and product launches
• Communicate the value proposition of products being launched to the sales teams and ensure they have the necessary collateral and tools to sell
• Develop training material to evangelize our best practices internally and externally to our clients/partners via presentations, case studies, events, webinars and other direct client communications channels
• Develop thought-leadership materials designed to enhance our customers adoption of Automated translation to engage with their global customers and other translation management solutions globally
• Help the Director of Product Marketing evolve the Global Product Marketing organization to the next level by establishing best practices and defining its expanding role in the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS degree preferred
• Masters degree or equivalent experience a plus
• 4+ years professional experience
• Previous background in Internet, technology (consumer or B2B) and/or advertising
• Expertise working closely with Product and Engineering teams and supporting and enabling a sales organization is preferred
• Strong process and project management skills with successful experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills Keen ability to translate complexity into simple and intuitive communications
• Creative flair to bring fresh ideas to product positioning and marketing campaigns
• Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up type environment
