Two positions available: Product cost optimization is the key metric for success, one position will focus predominately on the PCBA / electronics suppliers' side and the other position will focus on suppliers producing, plastics, machining, castings, extrusions, stampings etc. Combined focus on all cost drivers working with Commodity Management, SCM, Materials, NPI and Product Development.
* Specialist will develop and execute global strategic sourcing projects. The specialist will support Commodity Managers by conducting spend and market analysis, RFQ planning, researching industry trends, creating cost models and providing analysis to support supplier negotiations.
* Develop model for in-depth analyze and interpretation of product cost drivers, and develops and drives "cost out" strategies within supply base.
* Benchmark product costs between domestic and international suppliers to ensure a competitive cost structure.
* Assist Material's team on EOL buys and analysis
* Negotiate to reduce supply chain costs for existing products with existing or new suppliers.
* Assist with special supply chain projects as directed, including; resourcing products, quality problems and / or improvements, cost reductions and negotiations, supplier development, and inventory reductions.
* Drive competitive sourcing events
* Provide the analytical support that will enable our Supply Chain & Operations teams to make informed strategic decisions
* Leads global strategic sourcing projects by employing best practices.
* Assists in the preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance.
* Assist Senior Commodity Manager in implementation planning and execution for identified purchasing opportunities within new or existing suppliers and solutions.
* Negotiates contracts for strategic and large vendor contracts for the procurement of services.
* Implement multi-year strategic alliances with suppliers to leverage company-wide volume, reducing the number of vendors to an optimum number
* Product cost modeling, Activity Based Costing and global sourcing
* In-depth knowledge of purchasing, production planning, logistics and inventory control/planning.
* Strong analytical & cost negotiation
* Strong ERP/MRP knowledge
* Global sourcing
* Strong project management and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage complex projects and work independently within deadlines.
* Strong intuitive, problem-solving and decision making skills

* 5+ years' experience in similar or complementary role
* Background experience in manufacturing
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
* Experience managing local & overseas suppliers
* Financial analysis, cost analysis, category analysis, and similar may be substituted
* Implementing global sourcing initiatives & driving cost reduction ideas
* Demonstrated success with implementing cost optimization
* Bachelor´s degree in a Business or Technical field, MBA a plus.
