Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an Executive Communications Manager consultant for one of its high tech clients located in Sunnyvale, CA. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Marketing, the Executive Communications Manager will partner directly with C-Level executives and other Corporate Marketing stakeholders in developing and supporting a wide range of communications initiatives designed to build and strengthen the company�s global brand and thought leadership position, support key corporate marketing goals, and drive the strategic communications direction for the company.
Developing dynamic Power Point presentations and core messages for executives is a key success factor. The ideal consultant possesses exceptional communications skills and has proven experience developing ideas in tandem/partnership with executives. Must be flexible/adaptable and have the ability to balance quality of work with deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Partnering directly with C-level executives to create messaging and content to be delivered by the executive through a variety of channels (e.g. presentations, abstracts, speaker notes, speeches, panel discussions, video scripts, message hierarchies, press releases, internal/externally facing events, advertising copy and other written materials)
* Creating dynamic, graphically rich Power Point presentations with compelling content for/on behalf of executives
* Support activities that define and communicate corporate brand and positioning at the executive level, ensuring that the communications strategy and messaging is aligned with the overall company vision and is linked to corporate objectives
* Interface with key stakeholders to define and create key messaging, ensuring consistency, continuity and integrity of content as it is utilized across a broad range of materials
* As part of the Speaker�s Bureau team, work to place senior executives in strategic speaking opportunities
Skills:
* 7-10 years of progressive experience in Executive, Corporate or Internal Communications experience. Must include experience developing and implementing communications strategies for at least one global, F500 technology company. Semiconductor or EDA industry experience is strongly preferred
* Must have a high degree of polish, diplomacy and discretion, displaying comfort/ease in everyday communications with senior level executives as well as cross-functionally
* Solid influence/negotiation skills: must be able to partner with people at all levels of the organization and collaborate with cross functional teams across a global company
* Exceptional communications skills (written, verbal and visual presentation). Must have the ability to quickly grasp corporate and technical concepts, offering guidance on �voice of the executive� development, conceptualize and create storyboards and translate ideas/metaphors into compelling and concrete content for both internal and external audiences
* Must have expert level Power Point skills with a solid understanding of fundamental graphic design concepts; ability to complement Power Point with other programs for presentation or graphics development is a plus
* Exceptional project management skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline and on budget. Extraordinary attention to detail is critical
* Bachelor�s degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism
* Experience coaching executives on presentation and video skills a plus
* Understanding of collaborative technologies and social media and how to leverage these tools to enhance and position executive brand a plus
* Experience with video production a plus
* Experience in public relations a plus
* Understanding of events management a plus
Rate: $2800 per week as a w2 employee of Crawford Group
Location: Full time onsite at corporate headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA. Local S.F. Bay Area candidates only; no phone calls please
Hours/duration: Full-time, starting November 1, 2011 � April 30, 2012. Potential conversion to permanent employment
