Job Title: Revenue Accountant

Job Description:

Job Summary: As an Accountant you are responsible for developing, implementing and/or maintaining one or more accounting systems. You may assist in creating processes and procedures; create, generate and/or analyze reports; and ensure the accuracy of data and compliance with GAAP and other accounting regulations. You may work cross-functionally with many groups including Manufacturing, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales and Corporate Finance. To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication, analytical and multitasking skills; be organized and attentive to detail; and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Hire Details:
Perform account reconciliation, prepare journal entries, account analysis

Essential functions and requirements for other areas that Accountants focus on to be provided by Managers and may include:

- Accounts Receivable
- Collections
- General ledger
- Commissions
- Reporting and Planning

Essential Functions:
- Accounts Payable:
- Responsible for month-end close processes
- Prepare weekly check runs
- Vendor Additions
- Prepare EFT payments
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Annual 1099 processing
- Oracle AP Super User
- Escheatment management
- Main audit liaison for AP Department
- Ad hoc projects
- Back-up for AP Manager when out of office
- Prepare/update desktop procedures
- Contributing feedback for team member evaluations

Cost Accountant:
- Month-end Close, regular monthly monitoring and reporting responsibilities include:
- Inventory reconciliation
- Period expense analysis
- Work order review
- Management reporting of inventory, cogs, and margins
- Perform quarterly, or on an as needed basis, stand cost revisions and provide analysis of key changes
- Work with Supply Chain Management to identify and implement cost reductions
- Ensure cycle count compliance
- Prepare audit schedules
- Provide back-up coverage when teammates are out of office

Payroll:
- Process garnishments
- Prepare unemployment reporting
- Process new hires & terminations
- Troubleshoot issues with the ProBusiness Employee Service Portal
- Manage various payroll related projects (i.e. expat processing, stock administration, time off automation) that are moderately complex in nature where professional judgment is required in solving problems and making recommendations
- Prepare ad hoc reporting for management
- Train new Payroll Specialists
- Prepare month end accruals, journal uploads, and account reconciliations. Documenting and editing of documentation of procedures and processes.
- Contributing feedback for performance evaluations for the group.
- Providing Payroll data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Backup for: Execute employment verifications, time-off reporting

Revenue:
Monthly Close process

- Monthly Business Review and Finance Operational Reporting
- Assist in Quarterly Forecast and Reserves management
- Prepare ad hoc reporting for finance, sales, services, etc.
- Document key processes and desk procedures and cross-train on routine tasks and reporting
- Support Process Change and Improvements
- Support System Upgrades and ad hoc projects
- Provide back-up coverage when teammates are out of office

Requirements:
- Accounts Payable:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels of employees
- Detail oriented, organized
- Able to handle high volume of transactions, multi-task, in a quick paced organization
- Knowledge of Oracle (or some AP system), Excel, Word preferred; Oracle AP Super user

Cost Accounting:
- General knowledge of cost accounting, including standard costing
- Ability to perform reconciliations of various accounts using standard and ad hoc reporting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Oracle 11i highly recommended
- Detail oriented, organized

Payroll:
- ProBusiness payroll, R&R report writer, strong accounting knowledge, and familiarity with generally accepted payroll and accounting practices.
- Strong knowledge of Garnishments
- Excel and spreadsheets experience required.
- Candidate must be customer service minded, have a desire to learn, self-motivated and a team player.
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work independently in a rapid paced, fast growing high-tech company while maintaining a friendly customer-service attitude
- Work in a team environment and establish strong cross-functional relationships (ie HR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required in order to respond to employee payroll inquiries.

Revenue:
- Detail oriented, organized, able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Able to support process and system improvements
- Able to handle large volumes of data and multi-task in a fast paced organization
- Advanced Excel skills; some knowledge of Data Mining Tools, Access and ERP systems (Oracle 11i preferred)
- Aptitude in root cause analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in a high-tech company helpful
- Knowledgeable on basics of technical revenue accounting and recognition
- Understand and adhere to company policies, accounting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, revenue accounting processes and SOP 97-2

Responsibility and Interaction:
Responsibility:
- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.
- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.

Interaction:
- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required.
- Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.
- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others.

Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred.
- A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks
