JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary
The Marketing Associate is a full-time position that will report directly to the VP of Marketing and assist in the organization, production, and execution of marketing efforts on a variety of fronts. This key position offers ample room for growth and learning for the motivated marketeer who thrives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative work environment. S/he will work at the direction of the VP Marketing and work with members of the sales, engineering and support departments in the successful implementation of projects. This job requires strong writing and interpersonal skills, ability to work well both with technical staff and management, and experience working with marketing, public relations, graphics, and web production professionals.

Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee production of collateral and branded media (e.g., brochures, product collateral, sales tools, tradeshow materials, email campaigns, videos, PowerPoint presentations, press releases and articles)
- Assist with advertising creative, white paper development, as well as, key messaging, positioning, PR and media relations as needed
- Interface with and manage vendors (e.g., graphic designers, writers, printers and videographers)
- Interview customers to produce quotes, success stories and case studies
- Manage maintenance, updating, and testing of website
- Assist in planning and management of marketing projects, tradeshows, events and campaigns
- Implement demand generation campaigns including email marketing and webinars
- Collaborate with product management and third parties in the planning and execution of demand generation campaigns and programs
- Develop and maintain marketing calendars, assets and databases
- Interface with Sales organization to support domestic and international needs
- Respond to internal and external requests for marketing and presentation materials
- Assist where needed on all other marketing initiatives

Experience/Skills
- Minimum two to three years¥ experience working in a technology company in a marketing role (preferably enterprise software)
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills (e.g., grammar, spelling, proofreading), more specifically, excellent copy production skills for marketing collateral and web sites.
- Must have experience producing content for a wide range of materials including collateral, web sites, emails, articles and press releases
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to effectively reprioritize tasks as business needs change, while being quality and detail-oriented
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to manage projects
cross-functionally and at multiple levels of the company with professionalism, humor and persistence
- Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Familiarity with HTML, Adobe CS3 Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign valuable
- Knowledge of WordPress and marketing automation software strongly preferred
- Must be a self-starter, be able to perform independently, and to deliver on time and on budget
- Experience developing scripts for demos and presentations, as well as experience producing webinars a plus
- Experience producing videos and working knowledge of Camtasia a plus
- Demonstrable knowledge of technology blogosphere and social media a plus
- Should have prior start-up experience
- Experience in the enterprise software industry and cloud computing preferred
- Experience in the auto industry a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in Marketing, English, Journalism or related communications field; and/or
minimum of 3-5 years marketing communications job experience, preferably for a
technology company. Automotive industry experience a plus.
