The Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to design, support and implement marketing and communication efforts that enhance our earned revenue and raise the profile of the organization. The ILRC is a national nonprofit legal support center located in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1979, we specialize in immigration law, policy, and immigrants� rights. The ILRC�s work concentrates on three main program areas: (1) building the capacity of attorneys, paralegals, organizers, service providers, immigrants, and others by providing legal technical assistance, trainings, and publications; (2) assisting immigrants with civic engagement projects to help expand immigrants� rights and political power; and (3) conducting policy and advocacy work related to immigration law and immigrant rights.
The ILRC is a team-based organization that makes most of its decisions in a collaborative fashion that allows for significant staff input.
Job Responsibilities: The Marketing Manager is a hands-on position that is responsible for developing, overseeing and implementing all of the ILRC�s marketing programs for the earned revenue products and the organization�s online marketing communications that includes traditional and new media platforms. The ILRC is building its extensive product line of immigration law manuals and trainings, and we seek a Marketing Manager to help with this endeavor. The Marketing Manager will use web analytic tools to evaluate the success of marketing communications and campaigns and make changes based on the data to improve response rates and increase sales. The Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating the promotion of the earned revenue products and services and editing content for different audiences across various digital platforms. The Marketing Manager reports to the Deputy Director and supervises a Marketing Coordinator and volunteers. The Marketing Manager is a member of the Education Team.
Specific responsibilities include:
� Develop all aspects of marketing programs, campaigns and promotional content that increase sales of earned revenue products and services, including trade show or conference booths and development of new market opportunities.
� Coordinate and project manage the development and distribution of outbound communications using various traditional digital media and social media platforms.
� Work with staff attorneys and other staff to coordinate content and create communications appropriate for target audiences.
� Work with Deputy Director and the Education Team to determine appropriate marketing programs and communications to promote the earned revenue products and services.
� Track and analyze the performance of online marketing programs and communications across all platforms on a weekly basis and provide reports and recommendations on improving communications to Deputy Director, Assistant Director and other staff.
� Develop, write, and apply branding and best practices guidelines for outbound communications, including for training materials developed by the ILRC Staff Attorneys.
� Ensure communication platforms are updated with current content.
� Supervise Marketing Coordinator and volunteers.
� Track daily immigration news and solicit input from staff on important news to communicate to audiences.
� Define keywords for content.
� Recommend appropriate new social media platforms and online marketing strategies as needed.
� Maintain schedule of content distribution to various audiences.
� Track return on investment.
� Educate Staff and Board on marketing strategy, tactics, best practices, and tools.
Experience
� 5+ years of marketing experience in a small organization that sells products or services with emphasis on:
o Writing materials for a legal audience (preferred) or other technical audience,
o Developing successful online marketing programs,
o Managing, developing, tracking, and analyzing social media communications, and
o Exposure to marketing branding experience.
� Previous experience managing a small marketing team.
� Non-profit sector experience is a plus.
Requirements
� Excellent communication and writing skills, including demonstrated ability to write compelling language for various audiences.
� Excellent problem solving skills.
� Demonstrated ability to work as part of team, to be flexible and learn new skills quickly.
� Excellent computer skills and demonstrated effectiveness with social media, Excel, Google Analytics, Salesforce CRM, and content management systems.
� A self-starter who maintains focus while working under deadlines.
� BA/BS degree.
� Ability to travel throughout the year.
Salary/Benefits: Pay is commensurate with experience.
