Marin Software is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Company�s financial accounting and close processes. A successful candidate will have the leadership capabilities to coordinate all close activities, and will be able to drive process improvements to help strengthen the company�s internal controls while also reducing the close cycle requirements. The position will also play a key role in Marin�s ERP implementation as the Company upgrades from Quickbooks to Netsuite. This position will report to the Corporate Controller and will initially have one to two direct reports.
Responsibilities
� Ownership of the monthly financial close process
� Ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting at the consolidated and subsidiary level, including driving monthly close package with FP&A team
� Ensure account reconciliations and analyses are completed for all balance sheet accounts
� Perform multi-company consolidation process on a monthly basis and ensure that intercompany accounts for foreign subsidiaries are reconciled
� Oversee the procure-to-pay and accounts receivable cycles
� Lead company�s transition from Quickbooks to Netsuite; ownership of ERP system going forward
� Work closely with Marin�s overseas offices and accounting partners to ensure subsidiary books are accurate and compliant with local statutory requirements
� Ensure consolidated financial statements are in accordance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements and company policies
� Develop, document and implement accounting policies and procedures
� Assist with establishment of internal and management controls to enable SOX readiness
� Assist with sales commissions calculations
� Assist with the accounting for stock-based compensation under FAS 123R
� Provide support for federal & state income tax returns and work with tax advisors
� Significant interaction with the company�s external auditors (PricewaterhouseCoopers)
� Supervise, train, develop and mentor accounting staff
� Lead and support ad hoc special projects as required
Experience & Requirements
� Bachelors Degree required in Accounting or Finance
� Minimum 5 years experience of general accounting, consolidation, financial statement preparation, FX accounting, stock compensation accounting and software revenue recognition (SOP 97-2 and EITF 08-1)
� Public accounting experience and CPA required
� Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley / internal control frameworks
� Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
� Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
� Analytical mindset with superior attention to detail
� Strong team work, collaboration, flexibility and pro-activeness
� �Roll-up the sleeves� approach in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
� Commitment to excellence and impeccable ethical standards and integrity
� Advanced Excel skills
� ERP system knowledge assumed (Netsuite experience a plus)
� IPO or public company experience a plus
