Our client currently is looking for a Vice President.   As a growing boutique firm, the Vice President role is a pivotal position as it oversees all of our operations and account management.  This individual will serve as a mentor, manager and lead example for all account teams on client management, quality assurance, staff development and strategic guidance.  The Vice President will also be involved in new business development, operational leadership and product/services development.  
 
We are seeking an individual who has exceptional leadership capabilities, a strong work ethic and a passion for public relations and social media. 
 
General Requirements:
-              8+ years public relations agency leadership experience
-              Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
-              Experience in leading technology, healthcare and professional services account teams
-              Broad base of experience in core competencies of public relations including media relations, analyst relations, thought leadership, strategic counsel, etc. 
-              Demonstrates a strong understanding of social media concepts and platforms (required) and has engaged in social media or led projects in social media on behalf of clients (preferred).
 
Job Responsibilities: 
 
Account Management Lead
-              Highest-ranking member of account teams
-              Assure all accounts are properly staffed (manage AS, AD level)
-              Assure all accounts stay within hours/are profitable 
-              Assure all team members are filling their job descriptions within accounts
o             Account Director
o             Account Supervisor
o             SAE/AE
o             AAE/Interns
-              Assures accounts are setting, achieving and exceeding goals on an ongoing basis
o             Work with client and team to create clearly defined strategy and scope of work for accounts
o             Work with client and team to create internal and external metrics to measure success
o             Work with agency's executive team to assure client retention and growth
o             Use business intuition and experience to anticipate client, and client industry, concerns and proactively address them
o             Assure account teams' ongoing commitment to learning about and understanding clients' business, competitive set, and important publications/influencers in space
o             Assure all account activities meet the standard of excellence
o             Assure all account team members are growing and thriving in their skills
-              Cultivate positive relationships with client executives
o             CEO, President
o             Assure agency's visibility into C-suite by maintaining open dialogue, steady stream of interviews, etc.
-              Manage all third-party PR vendor relationships to maximize benefit
o             SMT/RMT
o             PR Source code, ProfNet
o             Continually identify, vet and bring in new vendors
-              Collaborate with HR on relevant programs
o             "Best practices" document/procedures as official standard for how we measure internal and external success
o             Professional development for team members
o             Recruitment process
o             Training program for new hires

No relocation, only people from the New York Metro area will be considered.
