Senior Financial Analyst – Professional Services – Wind River Systems
Alameda, CA
Wind River has an opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst to partner with our Solutions and Services Organizations. In this role, you will support various project managers, delivery directors and the GM of North America. You will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting revenues and gross margins for different verticals with in the Solutions and Services group and developing internal management reports. You will gain an invaluable experience in a position that offers significant responsibility as part of a small, entrepreneurial finance team.
Responsibilities:
• Key participant in the annual strategic and operational planning cycle
• Partner with Delivery Directors for different verticals and maintain accurate project revenue and gross margin forecasts
• Produce and maintain business dashboards for various customers with in the Solutions and Services group
• Work closely with the accounting and revenue groups to ensure proper revenue treatment is being followed
• Prepare month end and quarter end journal entries for any necessary accruals or reclass of costs
• Develop and present financial results and analysis such as quarterly achievement and business trend reporting, analysis and metrics to business executives on a regular basis
• Partner with functional groups to provide monthly, quarterly and annual budgetary and variance analysis
• Participate on cross functional projects and finance initiatives as required
Requirements:
• 4-7 years or more of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
• Strong financial system skills: Oracle 11i, Microsoft Excel, Hyperion Planning
• Strong attention to detail an ability to summarize large volumes of data
• Strong problem-solving and financial modeling skills
• Ability to make decisions in a fast moving environment
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels in an organization
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field; CPA or MBA preferred
