[KITlist] CONTR: Business Analyst (San Francisco, CA)

We are looking for a customer-focused business analyst to participate on a system implementation team. This contract position will be responsible for helping define the plan to move to the new technology.

The ideal candidate skills include:

- Eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
- Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, etc.
- Working independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
- Driving and challenging business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Strong analytical , including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Serving as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
- Developing requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
- Collaborating with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
- Lliaise between the business units, technology teams and support teams
- Ability to have fun - humor a plus - positive approach to work

Role details include:
- San Francisco, CA - no relocation will be provided
- Contract role - 40 hours per week - possible conversion to FTE
- Rate - competitive
- Reporting to Director-level
- Highly visible role and initiatives
- Low travel required – TBD
- Interviewing will begin in early February with an ASAP start
