We are in the process of re-developing our core retail brokerage performance monitor survey systems using the Microsoft Business Intelligence tool set. This is an opportunity to join the internal IT team that is designing and developing the complete application portfolio and underlying services. The successful candidate will also take over the support and maintenance of the new systems when they are completed. The role is based in McLagan's (an Aon Hewitt company) Chicago offices but some travel to other Aon Hewitt offices may be necessary.
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist with experience in delivering data warehouse and business intelligence solutions with blue chip organizations. No relocation - local candidates only
We have a career opportunity for a Business Intelligence Specialist/Technical in our Chicago Office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Work on the development of the relational database, OLAP and ETL aspects of Aon Hewitt Consulting's Retail Brokerage PMS rewrite.
Create a uniform calculation, production reporting, and ad hoc reporting and analytics platform for all Retail Brokerage PMS surveys – Cost, Revenue, Household, YOE.
The project is intended to replace and enhance only the analytics and reporting components of the survey systems
Design & develop DB2/MS SQL Server Relational, ETL & OLAP aspects of project Fusion
Work with BI Lead & .NET Lead to own/implement data modeling & data manipulation changes\
Implement views, stored procedures, functions etc. as required by SSAS cube & .NET Application
Data migration from legacy system
Performance tuning of the Relational database, SSAS & ETL
Contribute to technical architecture discussions
REQUIREMENTS
Min education required: BSc
Min 2 -5 yrs work experience required
SSAS, ETL & OLAP experience required
MDX experience min. of 2 years a plus
Strong Business Intelligence experience a must
Domain Expertise required
Strong communication skills
