The Role: Controller
The Location: San Diego, CA

Controlled Contamination Services is a leading provider of decontamination services to the Biotech / Pharmaceutical industry, Life Sciences and R&D Labs, Nutraceuticals Semiconductor / Electronics sector, and Information Technology Industry. We have brought together the strengths of specialized cleanroom cleaning for these industries to create a service that incorporates training, equipment and micro cleaning with knowledge of contamination control. For more than eighteen years we have been providing state-of-the-art cleaning with proven quality ratings that are unparalleled in the industry.

We are currently searching for an experienced Controller to provide hands-on accounting for the company, including expansion and scaling of business units and creating and implementing financial policies and procedures. The Controller will be responsible for daily accounting including; managing cash, AR, AP, HR/Payroll, commissions, monthly close process, and reporting (close package and sales data). They will also support other offices across the country and have heavy interaction with management, operational leaders, the sales team, and vendors. This is a hands-on role with one direct report, so there is tremendous room for growth.

What skills and qualifications do I need?•A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
•CPA is preferred, but not required
•Three to five years of rigorous and progressive accounting industry experience working in a Controller type capacity for a small company ($5M to $20M in revenue)
•Experience working in the services industry a plus, but not required
•Hands on experience with managing AR, AP, closing the books, financial reporting, HR/Payroll, and commissions
•Experience with cash management
•Successful experience negotiating vendor contracts and equipment agreements
•Inventory accounting experience is favorable, but not required
•Ability to provide a strategic mindset when providing analysis of sales and accounting data in order to assist in operational decisions
•Ability to manage timely reporting of financial and sales data, reduce and improve AR DSO, and implement a cash management/forecasting process
•Experience working with a Private Equity Firm a plus, but not required
