Role:
The candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting and implementing rendering systems such as low-level display management, high-level 3D scene management and overall HW specific optimizations. This candidate is also responsible for proposing and implementing export pipelines for 3D rendering and animation.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with 3D development on high-end 3D mobile games with additional experience with content creation tools and 3D game engine design concepts as well as a strong mathematics background.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement systems for rendering engines
Create and maintain APIs and interfaces for interaction between engine with high-level game objects
Identify solutions to low-level rendering and engine management tasks through iterative prototype development
Design and implement algorithms for rendering, physics, animation and visual effects
Identify optimal solutions for engine functionalities on target hardware
Debug and identify shortcomings and propose potential improvements for target platform
Implement optimized code (assembly or vector-assembly if needed) for target platform
Create technical design and API documentation for rendering and animation systems
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years game industry experience with at least 1 AAA shipped title on current or last generation consoles or 3D games on high-end mobile platforms.
Excellent C/C++ skills
D3D, OpenGL, or OpenGL ES experience
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and ability to collaborate with artists on graphics techniques
Knowledgeable in a variety of special FX techniques; experience with different shading and lighting pipelines; strong background in game development or gaming components (i.e. game engines, particle systems, 3D effects, collision detection, etc.); strong shader experience (OpenGL ES 2.x, OpenGL 2.0), solid background in mathematics, familiar with game asset pipelines and content creation tools development for 3D games (Maya, 3DS Max, SoftImage, Photoshop) and their plugin development
Optional:
Experience with Android Java-based and native development
Experience with character animation pipelines and requirements
