Our client offers advanced security technology in a fast emerging market and is one that is a leader in their space. The company offers products and services to one of the most high profile areas of focus of security in the world today that are sold to Fortune 500 companies and many others. The company is experiencing enormous growth and is now seeking a candidate with a strong channel background and recent experience in some form of security software or appliance offering in one of the areas of anti-virus, vulnerability, threat management, intrusion detection, information security, security information event management, application security etc. for this exciting opportunity:






Position title: Global Channel Manager
Location: Anywhere in U.S.(preferred location Bay area, California or MD/VA/DC area)





Our client is in search of a Global Channel Manager to strategize, identify, develop, implement and enable their new partnership initiatives globally. We are looking for a candidate to significantly increase revenues through new and established partners. The candidate in this role will work closely with the sales organization to help to help identify, recruit, enable and develop the most strategic partners to help maximize revenue and establish growth and market coverage initiatives The territory consists of America, APAC and EMEA.




Position responsibilities:


•Identify and establish specific and strategic partner (VAD, VAR, LAR, SI, Alliances) organizations internationally
•Establishes productive, professional relationships and partnerships with strategic channel organizations and outlets internationally.
•Maintain management of partner relationships and contracts.
•Establish and help build channel sales team.
•Establish sales and marketing goals and objective and hold partners accountable to achieved desired results.
•Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements. Direct partner back office resources as needed.
•Support sales teams recruiting efforts and employ sales techniques to close business with high value, strategic targeted partners by geography
•Track, monitor and report partner sales and pipeline activity
•Facilitate partner requests and develop field and corporate alignment with opportunities
•Handle questions, complaints communicate with partners on outstanding issues, handle or escalate partner problems until resolved.
•Implement partner on-boarding and sales enablement and training.





Skills required:

•Strong experience in the security software, consulting and/or services industry
•Thorough knowledge of security channel partners with established relationships with these entities
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and partner sales teams.
•Ability to influence others and utilize available resources to accomplish growth goals.
•Ability to quickly and accurately identify, qualify, and recruit strategic partners
•Strong ability to work in and contribute to a team environment
•Ability to manage time and workflow effectively under high volume and tight timeframes.
•Strong communication and web presentations skills. Ability to motivate partner sales teams others to create sales opportunities.
•Proficient in sales methodologies and forecasting processes
•Bachelor's degree required. MBA degree a plus.
