We are seeking a proven software sales professional with experience selling business intelligence or one from Oracle selling e-business suite offerings to large enterprise customers for this exciting opportunity:




Position title: Strategic Account Manager
Location: Western region of the U.S. and Texas




Position description:

This outside sales role is focused on selling to a set of named, large enterprise accounts and involves direct selling and managing them to closure. In this role there is already in place an existing revenue stream for you to close and take advatage of. This includes working with prospects and existing customers and executing an effective territory strategy that drives product and services revenue growth. This position will cover a geographic territory and will require 50% travel within the territory. Candidates must have working experience selling business intelligence software from companies such as Oracle, IBM/Cognos, SAP/Business Objects, Microsoft, Informatica, Microstrategy, Information Builders, etc. or others with experience with Oracle and/or Siebel e-business applications to qualify for this role.






Position responsibilities:

•Direct sales of software and services into strategic accounts throughout a geographic territory
•Management and development of installed customer accounts
•Territory planning and forecasting of enterprise accounts
•50% travel within the assigned territory
•Working effectively in a virtual team environment (with sales consulting, consulting, inside sales & support)







Required skills:

•5-7+ years of successful enterprise software applications sales required. Experience selling major business intelligence software platform or Oracle e-business suite offerings are of most interest.
•Some sales experience selling ERP, CRM, business intelligence and/or data warehousing software solutions is required
•High-energy personality with drive and "hunter" mentality is a must
•Proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas
•Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a sales pipeline to appropriate levels
•Working technical knowledge of BI tools and architectures
•Ability to communicate effectively with both IT and end user departments
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in software sales






Ideal candidates for this role are those with BI experience from companies such as Oracle, IBM/Cognos, Business Objects, Informatica, etc. Others selling ERP applications from Oracle are also of strong interest.
