Drive revenue
• Proactive selling and growing the account is a key aspect of the success of a Relationship Manager. This is not just an Account Manager or renewals job. Our Relationship Managers are sales people and thrive on growing their book of business by creating value.
o Build strong client relationships and penetrate additional departments
o Develop and effectively manage a plan to address your client's business objectives.
o Identify opportunities within your client's marketing, IT, Security and Email Operations departments, that can be improved via incremental investments in Return Path's products and services.
Elevate the overall client experience
• We take pride in bringing an exceptional client experience and it is the job of the Relationship Manager to make sure that we support our client's business with excellence. We want our customers to not just do business with us because we have the best solutions in the market, but also because they love doing business with us.
o Increase Net Promoter Score (NPS) for all accounts and increase number of promoters.
o Secure client success stories/case studies.
Invest in the Team
• We have very strong teams here at Return Path. One of the greatest things about working in Client Services at Return Path is the people that you will work with. Our Account Managers invest heavily in each other, growing and finding success in the job by learning from one another's successes and failures and by building each other up.
o Seek ways to improve professionally though creating and owning a living development plan.
o Active participation in our Mentoring program to support new Relationship Managers.
Strengthen the company
• We are growing fast and there is a lot to do around here! We expect our Relationship Managers to think like an owner and have an impact outside of the core sales function.
o Shares best-practices and case studies with the rest of the account management team to share insights garnered from certain client situations.
o Provides feedback to product management team on customer needs, operational improvements and overall industry trends.
What does it take to be successful in this role
• 4+ years of relationship management experience, preferably working with email-related products, business solution consulting or quantitative analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing and creative problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com
• Familiarity with e-marketing fundamentals and industry issues preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
