Compensation Analyst position w/Oracle HCM exp - City of Atlanta - south Atlanta

 

The Compensation Analyst, located at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, works under general supervision to support the design and administration of Department of Aviation pay programs in line with established City of Atlanta policies and practices. Primary outputs include maintaining job descriptions and job ladders, using external market data to price jobs and recommend adjustments to existing salary structures, supporting HR Business Partners in maintaining internal equity in hiring and promotion.  Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and provides support for any variable compensation or other reward programs.

 

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

•Maintains job descriptions, ensuring complete and thorough documentation of all current and proposed positions.

•Participates in market-based compensation surveys, and analyzes results and market trends to determine organization's market relationship.

•Evaluates positions using established evaluation systems, and determines job titles, FLSA classification, value of jobs with the external market (market reference), and the appropriate internal level of job measurement (internal equity).

•Supports HR Business partners in conducting internal equity analysis and recommending salary actions for all hires, promotions or other pay changes.

•Analyzes current organizational pay practices and makes recommendations salary changes to ensure equity.

•Conducts research on emerging compensation/legal compliance issues.

•Accomplishes various special assignments as requested, relating to Compensation administration or providing information for management use.

•Performs other related duties as required.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or quantitative-heavy discipline.  Two to 5 years experience in the compensation field or related area.  Demonstrably high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

 

KNOWLEDGE OF JOB:

•Keen attention to detail and ability to self-audit work

•Strong math, statistical, and problem solving skills

•Strong written, verbal and interpersonal relationship and communication skills

•Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced changing environment

•Ability to analyze information, identify key themes and draw conclusions to resolve problems

•Human Resources Information Management systems experience. Oracle HCM experience preferred
