The Corporate and Marketing Communications department develops and implements strategic, integrated programs in marketing communications, public relations, and social media to meet SRI's business objectives. We are seeking a Web Producer with a strong understanding of web design, production, and deployment principles to oversee, develop, and maintain the corporate website.

Essential Functions:

You will be responsible for delivering results consistent with SRI's business objectives and website strategies, and with web trends and best practices. In collaboration with the department and staff throughout SRI, you will interpret business and marketing needs into creative and results-driven web approaches. You will work with SRI's IT department and external vendors to apply web and security best practices. You will also work with content creators on strategy and to ensure the website conveys the SRI brand effectively, meets end-user needs, and drives lead generation. Providing specialized and in-depth knowledge of the web, you will develop and maintain the site, including its information architecture, content management system, and design, with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.



Principal Job Duties:

--Develop and implement project plans, serve as project manager, and scope production requirements

--Manage work flow and processes, including bug queue

--Ensure integrity of site architecture and navigation

--Use and further develop the Drupal CMS, including template functionality and new features

--Recommend page treatment in consideration of goals, content, tagging structure, and site taxonomy

--Update and publish content; oversee maintenance of publications database

--Assure site quality, including SEO, testing, and conformance with style guidelines

--Select and work with consultants and vendors (hosting, developers, production, SEO, adwords, analytics)

--Use Google analytics to optimize business results and user experience

--Track and report on site metrics

--Create and maintain documentation and training materials

--Partner with communications VP on site governance and strategy



Requirements

--Undergraduate degree and 7 years of web experience are required

--Expert knowledge of web best practices, trends, and industry standards are essential.

--Technical expertise, including Drupal, CSS, HTML, Google analytics, SEO, and forms

--Experience working in a scientific or high-tech organization is strongly preferred

--Familiarity with Salesforce lead management is desirable

--Experience with functional specs, wireframes, and usability testing

--Ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously

--Excellent interpersonal skills with a wide range of staff members, including the ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical stakeholders

--Excellent project management and organizational skills

--Ability to think creatively and strategically, while executing tactically

--Able to work collaboratively with a team member and independently

--Resourcefulness and ability to get started on new projects quickly

--Applicants must provide a portfolio of websites for which they have been responsible.

--This is full-time, onsite position. Relocation assistance is not available.
