Job Summary

Robert Half is seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Compensation who will direct the implementation and administration of sales compensation plans including the annual review of all plans for North America field staff and Protiviti consultants (www.protiviti.com). Manage appropriate analysis to assess the field compensation plan competitiveness and ensure effectiveness and expected incentive pay distributions. Includes analysis, modeling, calculation of plan payments, trend analysis. Oversee compensation plan administration and compliance with all applicable laws and SOX requirements. Oversee job evaluations, establish salary structures, develop salary budgets and prepare policies and procedures to insure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation. Maintain and run periodic as well as ad-hoc reports on compensation related data. Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy of data.

The Senior Manager will respond to internal requests for review of existing jobs ensuring internal and external equity. Participate in surveys and provide in-depth analysis of results to be used in determining competitive position. Provide management with regular reports on compensation program results, financial impact, trends, effectiveness and competitiveness. Direct the implementation and process administration of semi-annual promotion and compensation process and annual incentive compensation plans (ICP) globally including the annual review of all plans. Manage appropriate analysis to assess compensation plan competitiveness and ensure effectiveness and expected incentive pay distributions. Includes analysis, design, modeling, calculation of plan payments, trend analysis.

The Senior Manager will oversee compensation plan administration and compliance with all applicable laws and SOX requirements. Develop annual compensation budget recommendations. Effectively manage all business activities and staff associated with the enterprise compensation systems. Manage initiatives and projects from all enterprise compensation areas. Ensure improved solution repeatability by establishing and enforcing process standards and evaluation criteria. Lead the coordination of all resources both internal and external departments that are impacted by application maintenance and enhancements.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree required, advanced business/MIS degree preferred. Special courses: World at Work CCP courses.

• CCP preferred but not required

• 7+ years' of sales compensation/financial experience

• 3+ years' management experience managing large teams

• 3+ years' experience in business and systems analysis

• 3+ years' of functional experience working with ERP applications

• Previous experience in leading large/complex projects. Previous experience implementing new software applications

• Proficiency in MS Office products with a very strong proficiency in MS Excel, including charts, graphs, pivot tables and other advanced capabilities

• Experience in running complex queries using tools such as PeopleSoft Query

• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is essential

• Must be flexible to work within fast-pace environment with tight deadlines

• Must be able to work with highly confidential data and maintain confidentiality at all times

• Solid leadership/mentoring abilities

• Proven ability to show strong initiative

• Excellent organization, analytical and time management skills

• Strong understanding of Software development life cycle

• Understanding of sound compensation policies and practices

• Proficient in the following core competencies: strategic thinking, consulting and facilitation, leadership, communication, judgment and decisiveness, high-energy presence, results orientation, accountability, customer focus, assertiveness and influence, and project management
