Description:



We're searching for the Channel Rock Star who knows how to design programs for our partner ecosystem to grow sales.



Reporting to the the Vice President of Corporate Marketing, the Director of Global Channel Marketing is responsible for designing, developing and executing revenue-generating, joint marketing programs with our regional Channel Marketing leads and channel partners worldwide. This role requires a veteran marketer with a deep understanding of channel marketing programs that result in increasing channel sell-through. You will be responsible for developing and driving global programs from within the global B2B marketing team, and working very closely with regional channel marketing and channel sales teams. The channel marketing team will support and accelerate all channel activities on a global basis, including joint marketing programs, partner launch activities, partner event management, sales promotions, partner portal management, partner communications, product marketing in partner channels, and partner recruitment/onboarding/incentive programs. You must have high energy, excellent presentation skills and be able to multi-task and communicate verbally and in writing exceedingly well. Global travel is required.



Responsibilities:



•Define, design and lead a global cross-functional marketing program that combines multiple channel disciplines (reseller, system integrator, technology) to build a front-office solution story with SugarCRM at the epicenter.



•Develop, design, and define measurements for marketing programs that can be implemented across the globe. Monitor the execution of all channel-marketing programs by working closely with regional channel marketing and channel sales teams.



•Responsible for developing "on-brand" global partner communications templates.



•Develop and drive consistency in the management of partner events, conferences and meetings.



•Work with the regions to develop and document a global partner program that allows for flexibility within regional, legal and cultural variations.



•Responsible for the global Partner Portal infrastructure, updating documents, posting new information, etc., for regional consumption.



•Serve as the key point of contact for channel marketing inquiries from the regional marketing teams.



•Responsible for advocating for the channel at product launch meetings (representing concerns/requirements of the Channel), and developing the product launch plan for our partners.



•Regularly evaluate, innovate and expand program components based on consistency with Sugar's overall business goals and marketing strategy, as well as the financial ROI, brand synergy, potential impact/visibility, and execution requirements.



•Evaluate and measure current processes, and where necessary, establish more efficient and consistent ones.



•Evangelize and champion channel mission, purpose, and needs internally.



•Commission and coordinate channel marketing research to understand customer and partner needs and ideal partner profiles.



•Regularly evaluate competitive partner programs, events and content to maintain Sugar's position as a leader in partner programs.



Desired Skills and Experience:



•Deliver extraordinary customer relationships



•Minimum 10 years Channel Marketing experience in enterprise applications (CRM preferred), preferably global experience.



•Strong understanding of Channel ecosystem –VAR, ISV, SI.



•Strong understanding of marketing mix.



•Proven track record in leading and working effectively with cross-functional teams, including the product marketing, alliances, sales, operations, and finance.



•Strong writing skills are imperative.



•Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, presentation, and project management skills required.



•Excellent budget management skills required.



•Innovator with the ability to influence staff and management at all levels (internally and externally).



•Helpful to be a self-starter, someone who is capable of asserting their ideas and soliciting feedback.



•Respect and expect accountability
