Core Java Developer

NYC,NY

FULL TIME POSITION

GC/EAD/USC ONLY

 

  • Strong Core Java with Hands-on Test-Driven-Development (TDD) coding style

As a J2EE Developer with Web Services Messaging you will be responsible for leading design, development, and support of Java Web Applications and services as specified by our business partners. This includes developing new features and problem identification and resolution. The applications utilize technologies including Java/J2ee, Spring, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, XSD, iBatis/Hibernate, Oracle PL/SQL and Adobe Flex/HTML5.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides software development and support for the company's business solutions within a defined Software Development Lifecycle
  • Function in all aspects of the development life cycle including design, development, unit testing and documentation
  • Determines implementation approach for new and existing business solutions
  • Modifies and maintains internal business solutions
  • Provides technical support and technical advice regarding software implementation to users and business analysts.
  • Creates solution software code, tests, implementation plans and system documentation.
  • Trains co-workers when needed
  • Prepare functional requirements based on project requests from business units
  • Closely work with Business Analysts in refining business requirements

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through production release
  • Hands-on knowledge of Data Structures and algorithms
  • In-depth understanding of Design Patterns (J2EE and Gang of Four)
  • Hands-on Test-Driven-Development (TDD) coding style
  • Spring Core Framework
  • Web Services development
  • Messaging (Any ESB: Mule, JBoss, etc)
  • Open-source toolkits: Guava,  Apache, etc
  • ORM: Hibernate and/or IBatis
  • Experience with Maven, and source control systems SVN/Git.
