CMD Group is looking for a strategic Human Resources Director. 

This position will partner with the Executive Team to develop and execute the HR strategies that will foster organizational growth.

This individual must understand business priorities and translate them into HR solutions for the organization. 

This hands-on leader will assess human resource needs in areas such as performance management, organizational development, compensation, employee relations, succession planning, executive coaching, and career and leadership development.

The role will require the ability to establish HR priorities and the know how to drive the changes needed.

The individual in this role must be able to interface effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization, will need coaching skills, strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Other areas of responsibility include negotiations of benefits plans, policies and guidelines, equal opportunity employment programs, and employee records and documentation policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws

 

Essential Functions:

•Advise Executive Team to develop and implement HR programs and practices in support of overall company objectives

•Provide guidance to ensure consistent and sound adherence to state, federal, laws and internal policies

•Identify and implement new (or enhanced) policies, procedures or programs to meet business needs and support Company Values

•Provide strategic human resources business partnering to department leaders to drive organizational performance and maximize organizational capability

•Oversee the day to day operations of HR staff and their departmental responsibilities (payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, and employee issues) in the US and Canada

•Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the company’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters

•Maintains responsibility for company compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters

•Communicates changes in company personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed

•Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters

•Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee

•Provide compensation support including approval of salary actions, promotions, and job re-leveling

 

Basic Requirements

•10 + years HR work experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role

•Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development, or similar required. SPHR certification preferred

•Knowledge of Federal and State Employment Law as well as current employment related legislation

•Experience in benefit negotiations

•Strong HRIS systems knowledge, employee relations, compensation and benefit plan design, performance management and HR processes required

•Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization

•Experience managing HR professionals

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Strong analytical skills. Experience using and presenting data to make decisions

•Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives

•Proficient with Microsoft Office 

**Experience with ADP Workforce Now and SharePoint a plus

•Travel up to 10%
