Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Design Director for our experiential marketing agency client in San Francisco, CA. Our client builds award-winning campaigns from strategy to creative to execution and has fabrication on both coasts as well as production teams in top markets. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this full time role will craft compelling experiences that drive consumer action, advocacy and brand conversations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for all design output of award-winning experiential marketing agency
Oversees development of creative department for agency, to include a blend of internal and external resources (e.g, graphic design, 3D renderers, digital, fabrication, etc.)
Makes recommendations to agency management re: most efficient and effective structuring of department – what is needed in-house vs. outsourced
Continually sources and screens a range of creative resources to tap into for campaigns and projects for a wide variety of clients
Directs full project lifecycle from initial conceptualization and pitch materials through every aspect of project development to build and installation
Oversees all design budgets and schedules and maintains strong client, freelance and vendor relationships
Partners with account teams to present concepts to clients for approval
Partners with Executive Producer and account team leaders to set appropriate budgets and ensure delivery of concepts within them
Continually keeps abreast of the ever-changing landscape of experiential marketing, delivering fresh thinking and ideas to the agency and clients
Skills:
BA/BS required, MA/MS preferred
Exceptional creative talent
10 years' experience, with demonstrated expertise in experiential marketing; agency and lifestyle brand experience a plus
3+ years of experience managing/leading a team
Digitally savvy with hands-on experience bringing innovative digital solves into experiential activations
Thinks innovatively and blends big ideas with realistic execution
Strong design, verbal, organizational and time management skills
Curious and eager to explore new challenges
Professional maturity with a positive can-do vibe
Entrepreneurial mindset, with a take-it-to-the-next-level mentality
Nimble and flexible, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and problem solve on the fly
Experience in all current design programs and software
RATE: D.O.E; as W-2 employee of client
LOCATION: 100% onsite at client's office in downtown San Francisco. No phone calls.
HOURS/DURATION: FT, 1 month full time consulting project with possibility to convert to permanent employee of client
