Product Manager

Bay Area TechWorkers is seeking a hands-on Product Manager for our client a leader in the independent financial advisor marketplace. A client-focused product manager with demonstrated success building online features and tools will excel in this highly visible position.
As a member of the team, your objective will be to produce the best possible client experience for the advisors we serve and their end-clients in our digital channels. You will support the team to conceptualize, develop and launch new features and enhancements for our client's core web platform. You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other business units to develop and launch new products and services. You will be accountable for fully understanding the clients' needs and designing the appropriate features. It's a given that your written and oral communication skills are outstanding, and you are able to write cogent product requirements. You are organized, analytical and pay attention to the details. You are an enthusiastic, performance-driven self-starter. You thrive in a fast paced collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on delivering outstanding user experience and always putting the customers first.
In this role, you will:
• Work closely with a business SME to understand the desired scope of a new product or financial tool/service/feature, then envision how that scope would be best delivered online.
• Create the business requirements that outlined exactly how the tool/service/feature would work
• Collaborate closely with a visual designer to create the online interface for the functional requirements
• Work with the IT group to develop code so they may build the product
• Participate/lead thorough user-acceptance testing to ensure the product has been built to specifications and deliver the desired client experience.
What you bring:
• At least 5 years of hands-on product development experience for customer-facing websites, from conception through launch and iteration
• Experience in software product development lifecycles
• Ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements
• Strong ability in coordinating multiple time sensitive projects and activities simultaneously
• Strengths in problem solving, issues-resolution skills, ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Extremely organized, detailed-oriented, yet flexible
• Team oriented, high energy, enthusiastic self-starter
• 4-year degree or equivalent
• Financial services industry experience strongly preferred
