Nimble Storage is the most disruptive storage array company in history. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager Customer Evangelism to join our growing team.

The Customer Evangelism position will lead the design, development and execution of all customer reference, advocacy and evangelism programs that span an installed base of more than 5,000 customers globally. A core tenet of the Nimble Storage vision and value proposition is to delight customers with innovative and disruptive storage technologies that empower IT organizations to keep pace with change, build sustainable differentiation, and fuel sustainable growth. The Customer Evangelist will tap into this customer delight and showcase it across a range of deliverables spanning case studies, videos, events, the web and social marketing.

Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Communications the Customer Evangelist will proactively partner with sales to identify and engage with customer evangelists to share their Nimble Storage experiences across a range of marketing initiatives, including written case studies, customer success press releases, speaking engagements, industry analyst interactions, press activity, social media, and others.

Specific duties and responsibilities will be:

• Understand Nimble customers' requirements for business success and help manage customer reference coordination

• Gain knowledge of enterprise business challenges and how Nimble Storage solutions address these challenges

• Collaborate with the global marketing teams to proactively identify relevant customers to support product launches with voice of customer messaging

• Build strong relationships with the sales organization to identify, secure and establish partnerships with customer evangelists

• Assist in the management of the Customer Council and Customer Advisory Programs

• Build strong partnerships with customers to ensure Nimble is meeting customer needs throughout the reference process

• Execute on metrics to measure the success of all aspects of the customer reference marketing programs and publish metrics and results on a monthly and quarterly basis

• Analyze customer involvement in marketing initiatives, including media coverage, analyst reference activity, event support, case studies, etc

• Develop strategy and implement programs to incentivize enterprise customers to engage as evangelists for the Nimble Storage Adaptive Flash platform

• Manage in-house programs to track and report on customer interactions to sales, marketing and executive team

• Continuously track customer wins and reference opportunities through Salesforce.com, prioritizing reference opportunities in alignment with marketing priorities

Experience Required:

• 7-10 years of hands-on experience in leading customer reference programs and customer marketing initiatives, preferably with an enterprise B2B technology company

• Ideal candidate(s) have knowledge of industry trends including VDI, data protection, converged infrastructure, big data, and cloud computing

• Capacity to understand technical details and up-level them into clear, compelling stories

• Proven track record working cross functionally with business unit stakeholders

• Experience in creating new customer reference marketing processes to support the company as it grows

• Strong project management skills and attention to details

• Background and experience in Salesforce.com, including reporting capabilities

• Proven track record in developing and nurturing successful partnerships with global sales organizations

• High-energy with tenacity and grit in building a marketing leading customer reference program and practice that will be the envy of the storage industry
