Senior Designer
This is a full time contract position on site at VMware in in Palo Alto. Duration is a one year with the potential to be on going.
The designer will be responsible for ideation of concepts and hands on development of strategic design solutions for internal programs, branded events, demand generation campaigns, collateral, logos and proactively pursue new and engaging ways to represent VMware given the current guidelines. This person must be able to collaborate with groups across the entire company including, but not limited to: web team, product marketing, global field marketing, HR, and outside agencies. The ideal candidate has a positive "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide senior-level design and strategic creative solutions
• Brainstorm in a team environment to develop creative concepts
• Communicate effectively with internal creative services team and internal clients
• Ensure brand consistency throughout all materials
Qualifications:
• 10 years design experience within an agency working on technology clients and/or within a technology company
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Undergraduate degree in graphic design
• Must be creative, innovative and have a strong design sense
• Excellent hands on layout and typography skills
• Ability to discuss strategy and understand business objectives.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• The ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail
• Great sense of humor, enthusiasm coupled with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work creatively within the constraints of corporate visual identity guidelines
Bonus Points for:
• Illustration skills
• Video/Audio experience
• Mobile application design experience
