An outstanding organization is seeking a Q.A. Tester for a 6 month contract opportunity located in Irving, Texas.
Top must have skills – iTKO Lisa, SQL, Test Automation, SOA Web services testing skills, Agile SDLC Methodology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
Technical skills include:
Must possess 3-4 yrs solid hands-on experience in executing and modifying automated test cases using ITKO Lisa's test tool. Must have 1-2 years exp using Agile SDLC Methodology. Must have at least 2 years of writing automated test scripts. Must have 2 years of SQL. Must have 1-2 yrs hands-on experience in the use of Quick Test Pro (QTP) with VB scripting.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field preferred.
- 8-10 years experience required.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required).
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required).
- Strong mentoring skills.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
- Review and execute testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
- Review documentation of software defects and assign software developers to investigate and resolve the issue.
- Review and approve test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential PROBLEMS.
