Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a full time Trade Show and Event Coordinator for a consulting assignment with one of our high tech clients in San Mateo, CA. The Trade Show and Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing all tradeshow logistics for our clients' tradeshow and events presence, including preshow preparation, onsite execution/management, and post-show management.
The successful candidate is highly accountable, self-directed, organized and detail oriented. Must have the ability to work well on multiple; concurrent projects. This position consists of up to 30% travel time and the right candidate must be open to working over weekends as needed.
Specific responsibilities:
Manage/coordinate all company trade shows and events
Research market for shows and events
Coordinate multiple tradeshows and events from conception to completion simultaneously
Coordinate all show logistics (i.e. booth space, staffing, travel, registration, collateral, etc.), prepare appropriate paperwork and payments
Traveling to and working trade shows (show preparation and setup, as well as booth breakdown)
Provide prompt and friendly support for customers as well as internal stakeholders (this may be in person, on the phone, email or via live chats)
Coordinate and manage email campaigns, mailers, surveys and post-show follow up
Assist with social media activity with regard to events, including writing and maintaining content and providing updates to company website, social media sites and blogs
Coordinate the creation and production of promotional materials
Accountable for all credit handling during shows and management of budget for tradeshows (budget vs. actual cost analysis)
Program management tradeshow and event calendar
Coordination with designer, third-party vendors and customer speakers
Skills:
1-2 years' experience executing events in a B2B and B2C environment; some technology company experience preferred
Effective project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build effective working relationships
Must be outgoing, self-motivated with strong organizational skills
Requires some physical activity on-site at shows including lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying, standing
Knowledge of standard office applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Bachelor���s degree with Marketing or Business Administration emphasis is desirable
Rate: D.O.E. as a W2 employee of Crawford Group, benefits available.
Location: Fully onsite clients' office in San Mateo, CA. Must have the flexibility to travel domestically up to 30% of the time. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration: Full time, ASAP – August 31, 2015.
